By downloading, accessing, or using WoodyWord, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. About WoodyWord

WoodyWord is a language-learning application that helps users build vocabulary through AI-generated flashcards, personalised AI stories, an Arcade game, and an in-app Dictionary. You can import content from documents, images (processed via OCR), YouTube videos, Wikipedia, or plain text to create Smart Decks.

2. User Content and Uploads

You are solely responsible for the content you upload or paste into WoodyWord. By submitting content, you confirm that you have the legal right to share and process it, that it does not violate applicable law or third-party rights, and that it is not illegal, offensive, or obscene.

WoodyWord automatically detects and masks personally identifiable information before data is sent to AI providers. We do not permanently store your raw uploaded documents on our servers.

3. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

WoodyWord uses third-party AI services to generate flashcard content and personalised stories. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors. Generated content is provided for educational purposes only and should not be treated as authoritative.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

Some features of WoodyWord require a premium subscription or use a credit system. Free users receive 3 credits on sign-up. Premium subscribers receive 50 credits per billing period, renewing automatically. Credits are shared between Smart Deck generation and AI story generation — each action draws from the same pool.

All billing is handled securely through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. WoodyWord does not directly process or store your payment information. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use WoodyWord only for lawful, personal, and educational purposes. You must not:

• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract any part of the app, its AI systems, or its flashcard database.
• Use automated tools to scrape, copy, or replicate WoodyWord content.
• Use the app to process or distribute illegal, harmful, or copyrighted content without authorization.
• Attempt to circumvent the subscription or credit system.
• Impersonate another user or misrepresent your identity.

6. Intellectual Property

The WoodyWord app, its design, logo, pre-existing flashcard database, and related materials are the intellectual property of WoodyWord and its licensors. WoodyWord may use anonymized and aggregated data to improve its services.

7. Account and Data

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You may delete your account at any time from the app settings. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Use, engage in abusive or fraudulent behavior, or use the app in a way that harms other users or WoodyWord services.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

WoodyWord is provided on an as-is and as-available basis without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service and are not liable for inaccuracies in AI-generated content.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, WoodyWord and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Continued use of WoodyWord after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
